Data Analyst - Philhaven/Mt. Gretna - Part-time (10 hrs/wk), Days (Grant funded) (52795)

General Summary:
The Data Analyst provides advanced process and clinical data and consulting services and support for clinical analysis functions throughout the System; service line and entity leadership support is a priority. Acquires, manages, analyzes, interprets and transforms data into accurate, consistent and timely information. Balances the strategic vision of Population Health Services with day-to-day details. Exhibits broad organizational knowledge and the ability to communicate with individuals and groups, both internal and external. Responsible for creating actionable information based on clinical and financial performance measurements in order to support the deployment of innovative care management programs, provide resources to promote optimal health and manage relationships with payers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1 Assists in the development and maintenance of the data architecture and model to provide a foundation for database design that supports WMAT Grant needs.
2 Formulates validation strategies and methods to ensure accurate and reliable data.
3 Works with customer to define informatics and reporting requirements.
4 Integrates data from internal and external sources in order to provide data for analysis and/or reporting.
5 Provides expert system-wide support for various Population Health Services analytic applications (e.g., Quality Advisor, Verisk, FACTS and similar systems).
6 Analyzes health data using appropriate testing methods to generate findings for interpretations.
7 Interprets analytical findings by formulating recommendations for clinical, financial and operational processes.
8 Validates results through qualitative and quantitative analyses to confirm findings.
9 Designs metrics and criteria to meet the end users needs through the collection and interpretation of data.
10 Extrapolates and interprets data, performs statistical analysis, forecasting and trending and produces reports, including the development of professional-level graphs and charts
11 Generates routine and ad-hoc reports using internal and external data sources to complete data requests.
12 Presents information in a concise user-friendly format by determining target audience needs to support decision processes.
13 Provides recommendations based on analytical results to improve business processes or outcomes.
14 Consults with, and advises Knowledge Management team, Data Warehouse team and other stakeholders concerning the accuracy of data and efficiency of processes.
Position is time limited and dependent upon the grant. Currently funded through 8/30/21
Required Skills
Excellent teamwork/communication skills
Knowledge of appropriate tools & methodologies
SQL writing experience
Experience in interactive analysis for multi-dimensional views of data
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel to analyze data and report results using pivot tables, charts and graphs
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Required Certifications: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA); Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA); Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
