House Supervisor- Philhaven- Full-time, days/eve (D-HouseSupervisor)

General Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Inpatient Services and Director of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer, coordinates the 24/7 delivery of customer-focused, quality patient care. In case of emergencies, and in consultation with the Administrator-on-call, makes decisions for the organization. Oversees the management of resources including, but not limited to, personnel, facilities, supplies, equipment, and services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Acts as an administrative liaison between other System entities, Hospital Staff, patients and the community.
Demonstrates good judgment and appropriate decision-making based on a knowledge of policies and procedures.
Notifies the Clinical or Administrative Director on-call concerning issues/incidents with a potential legal implication and/ or effects the delivery of patient care.
Communicates pertinent information to appropriate personnel ( e.g., Administration, Human Resources, IT, Nurse Managers, Infection Control, Safety Brief, etc.) for follow up.
Participates in Hospital's Quality Improvement, Patient Experience Program, Safety Program, and Risk Management Program as indicated or needed. For example, identifies and reports events via Safety Reporting System (SRS) and Customer Reporting System (CRS), Fitness for Duty, investigates reports, counsels staff, ensures employee work- related injuries are reported following proper procedure, and completes elopement-related responsibilities, etc. Identifies opportunities for improvement.
Assesses, assigns and adjusts staffing based on unit-based staffing plans and as patient care indicates. Maintains and records census on patient care units as required.
Responds appropriately in a disaster situation or drill using the information provided during orientation and ongoing competency training. Is competent to assume role of Incident Commander until relieved.
Releases "condition" reports to the news media per Administrative policies and procedures.
Is available to staff at all times. Rounds on all units at least once per shift. Demonstrates customer excellence while educating, training, advising, and assisting staff.

Required Experience
Minimum Education- Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience- 3 - 5 years
Required Certification- Current RN license in PA


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
