LPN - Child/ Adolescent Inpatient Unit- Full-time (Evenings) (51259)

LPN Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1 Assists the treatment team to implement the client treatment plan.
2 Administers client medications safely and accurately.
3 Assists the Registered Nurse in assessing clients' medical status.
4 Participates in maintaining a safe, therapeutic milieu.
5 Assists clients with activities of daily living
6 Attends scheduled meetings and required training's to improve personal and professional growth.
7 Facilitates therapeutic groups documenting client attendance and response.
8 Updates changes in clients' data in the computer and replenishes paperwork in the chart.
9 Assists with orientation of new personnel on assigned unit.
Required Skills
Interpersonal skills necessary to establish positive, therapeutic interactions with clients and work as part of a team.
Physical effort required in moving immobile clients, restraining agitated clients and walking or standing almost constantly.
Visual and cognitive skills to read and write.
Knowledge of and ability in the care and handling of clients in a specific age group (children, adolescents, adults or older adults) as assigned is required, including consideration of the special needs and behaviors of that age group. If more than one age group is served, knowledge and ability specific to each age group is required.
Must have valid driver's license and qualify for WellSpan Philhaven driving privileges. Must obtain PA drivers' license in accordance with PA laws if license upon hire is out-of-state.
Required Experience
Ability to observe and interpret clients' behaviors, document observations and assist in providing client care at a level normally obtained in at least one year of college-level coursework in the behavioral sciences. Further education in behavioral sciences preferred.
Current Practical Nursing license in the state of Pennsylvania or possession of a temporary practice issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners is required.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
